This Privacy Policy describes how World Sky Services, LLC (the “Company,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information in connection with your access to and use of the website located at www.worldskyguide.com and related services (collectively, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service.

Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site, including information you provide directly (e.g., during registration), information collected automatically (e.g., via cookies and similar technologies), and information we receive from third parties. It does not apply to any third-party websites, services or content that may be linked from or referenced on the Site, including Third-Party Content as described in the Terms of Service. 2.2 Information Collected Automatically. When you access the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including:

  • pages viewed, time spent on pages, navigation paths, search queries entered on the Site and Content accessed or downloaded;
  • referring and exit pages; and
  • general location information derived from IP address (e.g., city or country level).

We may receive information about you from third parties, such as: your employer or firm if it has arranged for institutional access on your behalf; professional networking or business information providers used to verify eligibility under Section 2 of the Terms of Service; and analytics or advertising partners.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for purposes including to:

  • provide, operate, maintain and improve the Site and Content;
  • create and manage your account, process subscriptions and handle billing;
  • verify your eligibility to access the Site as a professional or institutional user, as described in the Terms of Service;
  • communicate with you, including responding to inquiries, providing customer support and sending administrative messages (e.g., changes to these policies, service notices);
  • send newsletters, alerts regarding regulatory developments and other communications you have requested or to which you have subscribed, and to allow you to opt out of non-essential communications;

5.3 Business Transfers. We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, financing or similar transaction, or in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy, subject to applicable law.

5.4 Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or subpoena), or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud or respond to a government request.

6. International Data Transfers

The Site is operated from the United States, and information we collect may be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States or other countries that may not have data protection laws equivalent to those in your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law (for example, in respect of personal data originating from the EEA or UK), we will implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authorities.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

9.3 European and UK Users. If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the rights described in Section 9.1 under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or UK GDPR, as applicable, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

9.4 Exercising Your Rights. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 13 below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request. Because the Site is intended for professional users acting on behalf of institutions, certain requests may be subject to the data retention and record-keeping policies of your employer or firm.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for use by professional and institutional users and is not directed at, nor intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
